The power of CBD, and why you should use it.

CBD is a naturally occurring compound (out of many compounds) found in the cannabis plant species, Hemp. Hemp (and the CBD derived from it) is commonly misunderstood because it comes from the same species of plant as marijuana, although it has very different properties. The most noticeable difference is that Hemp CBD does not contain much, if any, THC and does not give you a feeling of “high.” CBD is extracted from hemp plants and is known to have numerous therapeutic benefits for people dealing with anxiety, sleep issues, inflammation, chronic pain and much more.

This all sounds great, but how does it work?

Our bodies have what is called an Endocannabinoid System. This is a system of receptors in our body that naturally regulate its responses to our normal daily bodily functions. Scientists discovered that our bodies naturally produce cannabinoids that bind to these receptors in attempts to balance the system, but at a low level. Adding CBD into your daily routine helps boost these processes to a state of homeostasis, or balance, therefore alleviating many of the health issues being experienced.
